A structural steel addition was made to the existing concrete garage. The fireproofing on the new steel addition had to be finished to look like poured in place concrete. The $1.8 Million fireproofing contract included trowel finished high density fireproofing placed over metal lath. This application provided the fire resistance and simulated the existing construction.
